Tailored 2 Fit: New Threads

One of the most difficult truths to read in is that we’re a new creation in Christ. As we begin this new series we start there in this first of three talks. But this phrase, “in Christ,” holds several beautiful truths to encourage our hearts. That one belongs to Christ means that one lives in the sphere of Christ’s power, that one is united with Christ and now that one is part of the body of Christ, the believing community. I hope you’ll join us…

iAsked God

I asked God. Is that statement, an exclamation or a question you’re never quite sure when you’re speaking to a casual friend. Partly because there is an eternal perspective about our lives that is not clear in the moment. And truthfully, we may only finally see once we’re with Jesus and all things are brought from their temporary conclusion to their final outcome in Him.

MindSet: When Anger and Doubt are Right

Do you ever feel right when you’re angry that you’re truly right? Or do you feel embarrassed? Humiliated? How about when you doubt? Do you feel like you have a bonafide reason to doubt? Or do you feel guilty? Ashamed? You see how you see, because of how you feel after you see what you’ve seen. So how does the Gospel tell a better story? Catch us here on Youtube!

#ForTheMonValley Pt 4

People mainly only care about what impacts them personally. But people will change what they do when they learn why it matters. The story of the Gospel is personal. Why does this message matter so much today? It is impossible to refute that one of the deepest revelations of God’s character is in the weakness, suffering, and death found on the cross. If you wonder what God’s heart is like see the crucifixion!

The Heart of the Matter Part 1

A clean heart does not mean a perfect heart. In this opening message, we’ll observe the contrast of perspectives between the word “clean”, meaning no reservations or submitted, and the often used word “perfect” but meaning no errors or independent. Sin is a disposition and is either purposeful, unintentional or done unconsciously. We’ll look at a couple in the newly formed 1st-century church for more detail.

Covered: Part 3 Protected by God from God

This is our final message in this series. As one theologian said, “has not merely paid the penalty” for our sins but “also he has positively merited for us eternal life. . . merited for [us] the reward by his perfect obedience to God’s law,” so we can run to our Father without fear. In Christ, we have the most intimate and unbreakable relationship possible with the God of the universe. We are His legitimate children!”

Cornered: Part 2 Set In Love

There’s nothing you can do to make God love you anymore and nothing you can do to make Him love you any less. When we obey, that is loving God more, but our obedience does not cause God to love us more. Doing well is not a question of getting better, but a realization that I’m growing in Christ’s image! Measuring ourselves by “getting better as a Christian” is failed viewpoint because our spiritual life becomes focused on achievements rather than growing…

When You Pray Part 4 – His Preeminence

In the disciple’s prayer, Jesus was teaching us that we surrender our concern in things that don’t remain so that we might devote our remaining days to things that do. When you affirm that “this is your Father’s World” you are giving the Father Preeminence in the details of your life and by faith you answer the questions about who owns your kingdom and who is your king? When we pray recognizing His Preeminence, we’re making our prayers in the light of…

Trusting in Jesus for Forgiveness (Audio Upload)
