What Would Jesus Do? When I first heard that phrase it was on a short summer visit to the USA. Our family was living in Belo Horizonte, MG Brazil at the time and I had come to the States for a missions conference.

The phrase was a call to Christians to consider what their Savior would do before they would speak or act in their current circumstances. It became a motto imprinted on billboards, t-shirts, and worn most popularly on wristbands. But like so many tend “mottos”, it soon stopped being worn, spoken and finally pretty much has slipped from our minds.

Yet it is the perfect message for Christians to ponder before speaking or acting in today’s troubled times. More than ever we Christians need reminded that we are here as the hands and feet of the King Himself, Jesus. If you missed Sunday’s worship service, you can listen to just the message here.

This coming Sunday, June 5, we will be interrupting our study of the Book of Acts for a few weeks to talk about what the world needs now. I’ll give you a hint, in 1965 there was a very popular song that was on everyone’s lips! I hope you can join us in person or live online at 10AM.

One additional curiosity. When I returned to Brazil later that summer, the phrase had already made it to Brazil, in Portuguese of course, and was being imprinted on everything for the Brazilian Christian community to consume, just like in the USA!
