How did we spend on… One thing about Christmas is that it becomes very personal because it’s filled with preferences. Jesus came to be a personal Savior. What you personally need saving from is sin. God sent Jesus to save you from sin.

We all want God to help us…not compete with us. God and church can easily and subconsciously become just another activity competing with all the other activities in our lives. Yet God calls us to come and worship Him
as we are. Learning not to compete with God and surrender first then obey is a profoundly life transforming act, repeatedly needing our attention.
Light of the World Is For Us
This is the most wonderful time of the year, family gatherings, the food, the music, etc. but there’s also much pain and misunderstanding that seems to come out more so at Christmas. The thing that creates the tension at Christmas is that Christmas exaggerates all the bad. And at the same time, points us to something that’s absolutely incredible. Despite all the drama and hurt feelings, Christmas is still the most wonderful time of the year. But not because of what’s happening…
