For many because there is not a clear command to continue with the tithe nor a clear cancellation of it many struggle with their giving. In the age of law, 10% was simple obedience. In this age of grace, priceless grace and our freedom in Christ its easy to give what’s left at the end of the month or the end of the week. Should we have a strategy, a plan or do we just give as we’re lead? Having a strategy for our giving helps us to see it as part of being a disciple which can lead us to develop a culture of personal generosity. And in our congregation not just be focused on resolving budgetary shortfalls. As our Heavenly Father is generous, we want to be a people known as generous as well. “… generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” Isaiah 32:8 NLT
