Egg on you face or being egged both produce undesirable sentiments that we’d all like to avoid. The the idea that we could be believing God for something that could leave us looking embarrassed or foolish often plagues us and hinders our obedience trust. For someone to persist with some sort of an argument or some sort of abuse after their initial attack wears us out and can cause us to wonder if God has abandoned us. But Hebrews 6:18 (NLT) says “So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” The exercise of our faith is designed by God to produce results in us and for us that bring Glory to His name and may or may not bring what we desire in that particular moment or in this life.
